#15: Complete a 30 Day Challenge
During the month of June, I tossed out a challenge not only for myself but for my friends/readers: Thirty Photos in Thirty Days. Easy, right? Well....not exactly. Remembering to do it every single day was hard. Figuring out what to post could be hard.
But I guess it was easy it wouldn't be called a "challenge".
Anyway, challenging aspects aside, it was a helluva lot of fun! I adored reading the hundreds of posts from everyone taking part in the challenge! Each daily "pic prompt" inspired not only photographs but stories: personal stories, funny stories, historical stories, life stories. They ignited conversations. They had us all feeling a community vibe. We're in this together! I've gotta say, this 30 Day Challenge kicked ass!
So here are my own 30 photos:
These little moments represent my life and probably give a bit of insight into what I consider important. Cocktails and desserts are clearly held in high regard! The full story of each photo can be found on my Instagram feed.
And now for a few others!! I was thrilled to discover people doing this 30 Day Photo Challenge with me! So many great stories. So many meaningful photos! I picked a few amazing samples of great posts but to view more, search Instagram and Facebook for hashtags #40by40photo and #the40by40project.
This first one is from J. Elijah Bratton, a beloved teacher currently living with his family in Phoenix, AZ, who kicked off the challenge by setting the bar high:
This next submission is from Chana Garrett, an American ex-pat living with her family in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia:
I absolutely adored this post from ZuShanna Turner of Brooklyn, NY - a mama of two who is finally discovering and acknowledging her artistic self!
Book lovers will be absolutely die-hard jealous of Sharita Bent's reading list (stack? tower? skyscraper??) - and depth of her interests!
I love a fellow Bucket Lister!!! This adventurous moment is brought to us by Tara Mulvihill, an Irish woman living in NYC and, apparently, a thrill seeker at heart!
Lindsey Van Niekerk is an East Coaster who clearly knows where to go for peace and serenity. This pic gives me the same sort of vibe, too!
Thanks to everyone who joined in the challenge!!!! And cheers to another Birthday Bucket List item completed!!! It's amazing how quickly 30 days can go by and sticking to something every day, making it memorable and meaningful, as truly a great highlight of my month.
